We recognize that it’s very common to deal with some level of dental anxiety, so we go out of our way to provide a wide array of soothing options, including sedation. Many also deal with more serious levels of gum disease. For those patients, we encourage deeper cleanings in the office every 3-4 monthsDuring your visit, you can expect:

Discussion
Your hygienist will begin by covering any dental concerns or tooth pain you may be experiencing and any personal interest or goals in enhancing the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. Your hygienist or dentist will address these issues during your appointment or schedule a future visit to help you achieve your goals.

X-Rays
During your dental hygiene appointment, x-rays are commonly taken to provide a comprehensive view of your oral health, helping your dentist detect hidden issues and ensure the most thorough and accurate assessment possible.

Dental Cleaning
During your dental visit, your hygienist will use specialized tools designed to eliminate plaque and tartar from your teeth and gumline. Even with regular brushing and flossing, tartar can build up, requiring a professional help for a complete cleaning.

Polishing
Your hygienist will use a handheld electric toothbrush to gently scrub away stains and residual tartar, leaving your teeth sparkling clean. After polishing your teeth, your hygienist will gently floss them, ensuring a thorough and fresh result.

Examination
During your visit, your dentist will perform a comprehensive oral exam including reviewing current x-rays. Your dentist will be looking for early signs of gum disease and tooth decay to help prevent future, more expensive issues. This exam includes assessing gum health and detecting dark spots or tartar buildup on teeth. Your oral health is our priority, and we aim to provide a thorough examination for your well-being.
